We make reliable thermal systems.

The toasty warm feeling is great but as a safety issue the main benefit is guarding the body's trunk temperature against the penetration of cold, particularly over long periods of exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions ...

""Q: - What happens if I get wet?
A. - Not a thing. The wire and connections are insulated with plastic.

Q: - Can my electrical system handle the load?
A. - Electrical systems today are designed for accessory use. Check your manual or with the dealer to find your systems peak output in watts. Take away the watts draw of the system itself. The remainder can be used to run electrical accessories.

Q: - Do I need temperature control?
A. - For short rides, a half hour or so, no control or a simple in-line on-off switch would be adequate. For longer rides particularly on temp-above-freezing days when heat builds up you may find it more comfortable to use our temp controller.

Q: - How do I clean heated clothing?
A. - Hand wash, gently in cool water with a low-suds detergent and hang to dry.

Q: - How is a heated garment connected to my electrical system?
A. - Each Black Jack garment comes with a Battery Harness put together to safely handle any two of our heated garments (through the use of an available splitter).

Q: - When comparing products how big is Wattage?
A. - Watts=ampsxvolts. Wattage listings are a reference to indicate load to your system. A given product size requires a unique combination of heating wire. Wire distribution/length determines the resistance. The volt output of your system determines the amps flowing to the product. Wattage listed by the manufacturer may be determined with a voltage different from yours and using a product of a different size or a size average. Either way the wattage given may not relate to the actual product warmth of the size you will get.
More important to the amount of warmth you will feel are proper fit, heater wire distribution and knowing how to get the most from your heated garment.
